Randor Police Seek Woman Attacked By Raccoon

Posted: Updated:
Randor, PA -

Randor Township police and health authorities are seeking a woman who may have come into contact with a rabid raccoon.

On Saturday at 11a.m, police responded to reports of a raccoon growling and hissing at people on South Wayne Avenue. Upon arrival, witnesses told officers the raccoon knocked a woman down in front of the Wanye Post Office.  She left before the police arrived.

Randor police found the raccoon on West Wayne Avenue and euthanized it to prevent the animal from infecting anyone else.

Randor police ask the woman or anyone that knows the woman to contact the police department because she may be infected.

The woman is described as a white female with long, straight dark brown hair. She was wearing knee-high suede boots, blue jeans, a green shirt and jacket.
