Posted: Updated:

A New Jersey teenager is suing her parents for financial support after she says they kicked her out of the house and cut her off.

Rachel Cannin, 18 years old, a high school student from Lincoln Park, NJ claims she was thrown out of her house and cut off financially, but her parents say she left voluntarily.

Rachel is suing for immediate support, private school tuition, and her future college tuition.

Her parents say they told her if she wants to live in their houses he has to follow their rules ,one of which is to stop dating a boy they don't approve of and being home by curfew.

Rachel's parents admit that they stopped paying the tuition at her private high school but say they want their daughter to come home.

Rachel is staying with her friend's family right now, who is actually paying for Rachel's attorney.

A hearing is scheduled today.
