Condo Explosion Witness Shares Personal Story With FOX 29

EWING, N.J. -

Authorities continue to sift through the rubble of homes to see if any residents are injured after a massive explosion occurred at a Ewing, N.J., condo complex.

Dozens of homes in the area were affected by this. FOX 29's Chris O'Connell reported just about 100 yards away from the location of the explosion. He spoke to residents who heard the noise.

Claire, a Ewing Township resident who was home from school at the time, tells FOX 29 she heard the loud boom and it shook her home.

"I thought it was a tree that had fallen, and I took my dog outside I saw this huge puff of smoke. This is scary and terrible," Claire said.

Fire and police officials remained on the scene late Tuesday afternoon. The gas in the area has been shut off.

PSE&G workers are also at the scene looking for more information.
