WORCESTER, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Three unsuspecting people were shot and injured with a BB gun on Wednesday.

Worcester police officers responded to the incidents on Chandler Street at around 10:40 a.m. Wednesday.  A 44-year-old woman had been shot in the head while driving in her car. The woman was stopped in traffic near 17 Chandler St. with her window rolled down, when she was shot.

Officers also found a 53-year-old man who was shot by a BB gun in his head and shoulder. He was shot while walking in front of an alley on Chandler Street. Witnesses told police that another woman had been shot in the leg, but left before officers arrived.

Paramedics responded and took both victims to a local hospital where they were treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Witnesses directed officers to the area where the shots came from. Police entered 21 Chandler St., and found a black pellet gun in an apartment, with several pellets nearby. Officers arrested Christian Cruz, 19, and Kennie Mota-Cruz, 20, and charged them with three counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and discharge of a BB gun on a public way.
