DEARBORN HEIGHTS, Mich. (WJBK) -

Three young girls are in serious condition after a hit-and-run accident in Dearborn Heights.

The accident occurred near Telegraph Road and Colgate Street around 2:30 p.m. Friday.

We're told a driver blew a stop sign at Colgate Street and hit a vehicle with a woman and three children inside.

The girls are 9, 7 and 4 years old.

The girls' aunt was driving the vehicle. She was not injured.

Police are now looking for a black male who drives a burgundy four-door car. The driver who caused the accident never stopped.
