BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A woman and child were hit by a car in Boston Monday.
Boston police tell FOX 25 the incident, which involved three cars, happened at the intersection of Tremont and Prentiss streets just before 4 p.m.
Police say the unidentified 61-year-old woman sustained injuries to her leg. An 8-year-old girl with her had minor cuts on her hands. Both were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Witnesses told police two cars crashed and one of the cars was sent into the overhead traffic signal, causing it to come loose. Both drivers were transported to Brigham and Women's Hospital with what are considered non-life threatening injuries.
The incident remains under investigation.
