Seattle news helicopter crashes near Space Needle

SEATTLE, Wash. -

A Seattle news helicopter crashed and burned on Tuesday morning, according to KOMO News.

The helicopter, which belonged to KOMO, went down only feet from the Seattle Space Needle.

Three cars were also struck in the crash.

Fuel from the downed plane caused fires about a block from the accident site. Crews were able to extinguish the flames.

Seattle Fire says two people are dead. Emergency responders transported a 37-year-old male to a local medical center in critical condition.
