7 Year Old Boy Rescued After Falling Into Septic Tank

Posted: Updated:

A seven-year-old suffers a scary fall into a septic tank.

"Imagine falling ten feet down in a septic tank, only getting a few bruises. And being able to tell your story.

Noah tells his story of survival.

The rescue of 7 year old Noah Laehn was all caught on camera.

Noah was playing with his cousin, skipping on the lids of the septic tank when one of the lids slipped off and he fell ten feet to the bottom.

Luckily the tank had been emptied on Sunday and there was only two feet of muck below.

Rescuers grabbed a ladder, lowered it down the hole and guided Noah to safety.

Chief Deputy Scott Adams and Deputy Sheriff Pat Campbell grabbed Noah as he came to the top, pulling him out.

Noah didn't seem scared at all.

He recalls it was "dark and mysterious."

His mom is amazed that he is ok.

"That's a long ways for him to fall and not have a scratch on him," says Noah's mother Lissia Laehn.

Faribault County Deputy Sheriff, Pat Cambell , is happy they were able to help.

"It is great knowing he was okay and [we] got him to safety. He was out of tank best relief, "says Sheriff Campbell.
