BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) -- DCF called a news conference hours after a state audit of the agency was released, and the commissioner of the department failed to answer all of the reporters questions.
At first, Commissioner Olga Roche read from a prepared statement, then would only answer questions from reporters for a grand total of six minutes while they asked her to stay.
Before she left, she insisted that she answered all of the reporter questions.
This all came after the audit on DCF's foster care program that found management deficiencies, systemic problems, and foster kids living at addresses that matched those of convicted sex offenders.
State Auditor Suzanne Bump acknowledged many of the issues had been fixed, which is why Roche's reaction was even more perplexing.
For weeks FOX 25 has been asking for a one-on-one interview with Roche. We continue to ask and hope she will consider sitting down with us.
