We're told the suspects are 15 and 17 years old. Police are still searching for more suspects. Utash, 54, remains in a coma following the beating. Saturday, members of the group Detroit 300, made up of concerned citizens helped canvass the neighborhood where the attack took place asking people who live nearby to come forward if they know who was involved.

"This is just an issue that happened, we're not going to put a racial component on it," said one member of Detroit 300. "These sort of things could have happened whether it would have been white on white, black on black, the fact of the matter is that it was wrong and it shouldn't have happened. This unprovoked attack on Steve is just inexcusable."

Rev. Horace Sheffield said in a statement, "I am calling on all activists, protest promoters, protectors and defenders of Detroit to prove that we equally deplore injustice and unbridled brutality no matter what color the victim is or of the one committing it."

As of Saturday night, family members tell us Utash is still in a coma. Police continue to search for suspects, possibly as many as a dozen people involved in the beating. If you have any information call Detroit Police or CrimeStoppers at 1-800-SPEAKUP or the Detroit Community Action Team: (313) 528-WCHB(9242)
