BOSTON (AP) -- A month-long coast-to-coast relay to raise money for a charity aiding marathon bombing victims wrapped up Sunday at the finish line in Boston.

Runners and Boston Marathon bombing survivors came together at the finish line of the Boston Marathon just before 6:30 p.m.

The nonstop race began March 16 in Santa Monica, Calif. More than 2,000 runners ran 3,328 miles through 14 states, raising $425,273 for the One Fund, which supports those directly affected by the bombings last year.

An organizer says runners raced through deserts and survived tornadoes and are upbeat that the end is in sight.

Runners also visited the 9/11 memorial in New York City and a memorial for victims of the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing.
