Two injured in afternoon shooting outside home in Worcester

WORCESTER, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Police are searching for the person responsible for shooting and injuring two people outside a home on Saturday afternoon.
Officers responded to 15 Sheffield St. at around 4:30 p.m. where they found a 20-year-old man sitting in a parked car outside the home, and a 32-year-old man sitting on the front steps of the house. Both had suffered gunshot wounds and were taken to UMass Medical Center in Worcester for treatment. Their injuries are considered non-life threatening.
The suspect, a Hispanic man around 20 to 25 years old, approached the victims from the opposite side of the street, firing shots and then fleeing on foot towards Perry Avenue, police said.
Though officers searched the neighborhood, they were unable to find the man, who was described as wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt and sweatpants at the time.
