NEW ENGLAND'S UNSOLVED (MyFoxBoston.com) -- In 2011, a vicious shooting spree hit Boston's Dorchester and Roxbury neighborhoods. When it was finished, two young people were killed, a 4-year-old boy was shot in the back at a playground, and others were injured.
Fox 25's New England's Unsolved has exclusively learned that each of the three shootings are connected, through ballistics, to the same guns. All of these shootings are unsolved. All of the guns are still on the street. And the killers are likely still in our neighborhoods.
The shootings share another common factor. They were all committed in front of witnesses, yet no one will identify the shooters. Boston Police Detectives tell Fox 25's Bob Ward that without the public's help, these cases cannot be solved. And the killers will be emboldened to strike again, with the same guns, against more innocent victims.
If you know anything about these cases, call Boston Police Crimestoppers at 1.800.494-TIPS. There is a $1,000 reward offered for information leading to an arrest. And you may remain anonymous, even if you are in line to collect the reward.
