Authorities seek 3 men before drug convictions

Posted: Updated:
(WJBK) - Federal agents are seeking three drug dealers who went on the run the same day their verdict was to be announced in court.

The U.S. Attorney's office says 39-year-old Carlos Powell, 36-year-old Eric Powell and 38-year-old Earnest Lee Proge Jr., were not in the downtown courtroom when the jury returned its guilty verdict Monday.

Authorities say the men were part of one of the largest drug rings in metro Detroit's history that trafficked heroin, cocaine and marijuana. The ring operated from 2006 to 2010. More than $21 million was seized between June 2010 and November 2010. A Rolls Royce, Bentley and Ferrari were among vehicles and other items seized.

The men are considered armed and dangerous.

If you see them call police.

UPDATED TO ADD:
The U.S. Marshall's Office is offering a $5,000 reward for information on each man's whereabouts.
