NORWOOD, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – One woman is dead after a crash on Route 95 in Norwood Friday.
At about 4:22 p.m., Mass. State Police responded to a crash on Route 95 south. Charles Larrobino, 53, of Foxboro was driving a Range Rover north on the highway when he crossed over the grass median and into the southbound lanes, police say. The reason for him crossing into the southbound lanes remains under investigation.
The Range Rover hit a Toyota Camry head on and then a Ford Edge.
A 58-year-old Foster, Rhode Island woman was a passenger in the Toyota and pronounced dead on the scene. A 28-year-old Providence, Rhode Island man and a 62-year-old Foster, Rhode Island man suffered serious injuries and were taken by medical helicopter to a Boston hospital. The driver of the Ford, Nina Battista, 25, and passenger Katlynn Landry, 25, were taken to a local hospital. Both are from Quincy.
Larrobino was also transported to the hospital with minor injuries. He had a 5-year-old male passenger in the Range Rover with him who was taken to the hospital for evaluation.
The investigation into this crash remains ongoing.
