Message about school shooting found on NH school's iPad

Posted: Updated:
EXETER, N.H. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- There was an increased police presence at one New Hampshire school Wednesday after a student found a threatening message in the school's iPad lab.

Officials said a student at Exeter High School was using an iPad from the lab Tuesday when they noticed a message on the device's calendar. On the date of June 4, the calendar read, "I commit a school shooting."

In a letter to parents, Superintendent Michael Morgan said there appears to be no way of determining the source of the message. It is also unclear when the message was written and if it was posted directly to the iPad or on another device.

Investigators determined there was no credible threat and school was held as scheduled.
