A parent who declined to go on camera told FOX 25 that two students complained to school officials about texts they say they got from Cerbo.
Cerbo was not at his Walpole home but his father was. He did not want to speak on camera but said that working with kids has always been his son's passion.
And on the website RateMyTeachers.com, Cerbo received high marks back in 2010. As a substitute teacher his overall quality rating was 100 percent. A comment reads: "...great guy always pleasant, perfect gentleman."
Cerbo has received many awards, been involved with the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association and helped with the Massachusetts Hockey Officials.
He is not facing any charges.
DCF spokeswoman Cayenne Isaksen confirmed that the department received a report from the school. They are still in the process of investigating and have made a referral to the district attorney’s office.
