BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A judge has officially ruled on several motions put forward by lawyers for accused Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.
The government had proposed measures that included the need for a US attorney and FBI agent to accompany the accused marathon bomber. The defense wanted to get rid of those measures, but the judge just denied that request.
The defense also asked to strike "betrayal of the United States" as an aggravating factor in the case.
The judge ruled in favor of that motion. Prosecutors had argued Tsarnaev's alleged crimes deserved the harshest penalty because the US granted him asylum and citizenship.
The judge already called those claims "highly inappropriate."
