DETROIT (WJBK) -- Local entrepreneurs will have a chance to pitch their business plans to AOL co-founder Steve Case as a part of the "Rise of the Rest" tour stopping in Detroit Tuesday.

The "Rise of the Rest" tour starts in Detroit and will go on to Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, and Nashville.  In each city, local businesses and start ups will pitch their ideas to Case and a panel of judges.

The winner in each city will get a $100 thousand investment from Case toward their business.

Gov. Rick Snyder and Mayor Mike Duggan will join Case, along with Dan Gilbert of Quicken Loans and Google for Entrepreneurs Director Mary Grove to help kick off the tour.
