Worcester man arrested, $1 million worth of marijuana seized
WORCESTER, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com)— A Worcester man was arrested Thursday after police say they found an estimated $1 million worth of marijuana in his apartment.
The man, who goes by Carlos Martinez, drove a car registered under a fake name last week, according to officials. Martinez was allegedly driving under two different driver licenses with invalid social security numbers.
Police searched Martinez’s apartment Thursday night. During the search, they found over 1,000 pounds of marijuana.
Police are still trying to identify Martinez’s true identity. He previously used the name Saul Marquez, also believed to be fake.
The man was scheduled to be arraigned on Friday at the Worcester District Court.
