DETROIT, Mich. (WJBK) - A holiday weekend tragedy - two people are shot and killed on Detroit's east side. Now, police are looking for yet another killer.

The shots rang out around 3pm Saturday afternoon at the Cityside Apartments on Lafayette. One victim died at the scene, the other was taken to Detroit Receiving Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Police believe there may be up to three suspects. One is described as a black male, about 6'2" wearing black shorts and a white t-shirt.

It was the second shooting at the apartment complex in two months and investigators believe the incidents may be connected. Neighbors were too afraid to talk on camera fearing whoever did this may come back for them. But, police remind us silence helps no one and often allows killers to walk free.

Anyone with information on this or other unsolved crimes can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAKUP. You can remain anonymous.
