NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) - An upstate man is under arrest after police say he opened fire on another driver on I-84.

The New York State Police say that Masey Moshref, 26, of Wappinger Falls faces a slew of felony charges after the Wednesday evening incident.

At approximately 6:28 p.m., police received a 911 call from a driver who said a man driving a green Honda Accord bearing California license plates pulled alongside of his vehicle and displayed a black handgun.

The victim says the man fired one shot at his vehicle, striking the rim of his tire. The motorist immediately called 911.

Troopers stopped the suspect's car on I84 just west of the Taconic Parkway, in the town of East Fishkill.

Police say they found a Glock 9mm semi-automatic pistol and one spent shell casing from a 9mm bullet.

Moshref also had 2 grams of psilocybin mushrooms in the car according to police.
 
Moshref was arraigned sent to the Putnam County Jail in Lieu $150,000 cash bail or $300,000 bond.  He was scheduled to be back in court on Aug. 5.
