Kennesaw family seeks answers in Vegas hit-and-run

Posted: Updated:
It's been two weeks since a Kennesaw couple was hit and killed in Las Vegas and now their children are on a mission to find answers.

Terry Lance Westbrook, 71, and Charlotte Westbrook, 74, died while trying to cross a street. According to police, they were not in a crosswalk at the time and were pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident happened near the Rio hotel-casino around 10:00 p.m. while the couple was on vacation.

Police say the driver of a dark-colored Nissan sedan fled the scene without stopping.

Their children, including daughters Pam Cherry and Tonya Bullion, spoke to FOX 5's Trevor Shirley and hope to find some answers.

"Our goal is to find anyone out there, that happened to be in Las Vegas on the night of August the first, that might have been a witness, or in the area," said Bullion.

Bullion says despite the distance, she has faith that someone in Georgia may have been close or may have seen something that will lead to her parents' killer.

Las Vegas Police have told family members they are following every lead. The Westbrook's children say they're not about to give up the search.

"Well we were taught to have faith in everything, have hope and faith, that by the grace of God somebody will come forward and help us find who did this to our parents," said Bullion.
