(WJBK) - Eye witness accounts are saying funnel clouds have been sighted around northern Macomb County. Sirens in the county went off.

Officials at the National Weather Service in White Lake say there is nothing significant on the radar. They say it is a "small shower".

They, too, have received calls about eye witness accounts of a funnel cloud. They say there is no need to issue a severe watch or warning at this time.

Update: Fox 2's Rich Luterman said that at about 2:30 p.m. there was a land spout, or very weak tornado in northern Macomb County.

Luterman said the location was near 30 mile and Place Road.

Update: (11 p.m.) The National Weather Service has confirmed that a tornado touched down in Lenox Township near 30 mile road.
